Time is closing in on us!

Last week of class in my undergraduate career..is this seriously real life? I can not believe that four year have gone by. I remember packing my room and stocking the car full of boxes like it was yesterday. Bittersweet, but I think it is time. I will never forget the times I had in college, and the people that I have met. I have done some crazy things, many I would take back, but never the good times I had with friends. This is the time that I have met so many friends I can see myself building a life long friendship with, and many I can see I wont haha. These last few years have brought me closer to family as well, something I never thought possible. I figured my sister and I would be mortal enemies the rest of our lives, but boy was I wrong. Now we just irritate the crap out of each other...rather than HATE and throw things at!

I think that although this is the last week, it is by far the craziest week I have ever had. I look back and think about stress, and boy did I have something wrong with me. Not only have I had a 3 papers, senior project, social media project, and social media presentation, but I have also had one test, one tomorrow, one friday, and another presentation friday. Is this real life? O well though, last test of my life! (until graduate school one day)

Other than school closing and this hell of a week, I cannot complain. I had a great last week. My bday was fun, the weekend was more fun, and I made bank at work. So overall, cant complain. Although this is my last blog, because I hope to never write one again (ha), it was nice to get things out there for people to see. I dont usually bottle things, but I also dont tell everyone everything. This way, cant hide anything!

Almost there...

Its almost May...I can almost smell the May Flowers! Ha. This last week has been crazy. 3 interviews, school, work, no internship because of the other three things, and my birthday! Overall, I would say its been a great week! I am loving the fact that it is getting closer and closer to the end, and unlike most college kids, I am ready to be done. I think that I have lived college life enough, and am ready for the big world!

Over job wants me to come back and interview again, and another has scheduled a skype interview. It is nice finally getting calls back and interviews scheduled, because it means that the time to accept a job is coming soon! (I hope). Just need to find one and move, because I need to get out of Peoria! I am from here, and am ready for a new change, a big one!

Apart from interviews, I had my bday. Boy was it a crazy one. I lost my id, was not in the best shape for a few days, but it was so much fun! I met new friends, saw old friends, and had a great time. It makes me excited for my next bday, because it will be the first one not celebrated in Peoria, so cant wait to see how much fun the next will be!

Ready for May..

Marketing. Plan. Done. !!!!!!!

I must saw, I know marketing is my major, but boy am I glad to be done with my senior project! It was stressful and long, but was a great experience to learn in case I have to do one one day. Now just a social media campaign and business senior project stand between me and pretty much being done! Wahooooo

I went to my internship today, and apart from the crazy storm, was actually kind of fun. What did I do? I painted shoes...ballet shoes to be exact. They are having some kind of exhibit with ballet slipper art, and made me do a pair to incorporate into the shoe. They know I have little to no artistic ability, and thought it was be funny to see what I came up with. However, they loved mine! They thought they were cool and daring, and said I may be in fore front to win the $100 dollar prize! Score!

Other than that, I did nothing. But I was promised next week I would have alot to do, and I am ready for it! I need work, because I get bored doing nothing. I also have two interviews in Chicago Thursday and Friday, so wish me luck!!!

Work...

Work..work..work..

I swear sometimes I cannot get a break. School is one thing, but add work to it, and is a whole new ball field. Sometimes I wish I could just work a part time job like everyone else, and not the 35 to 40 hours I work currently. Once gradation hits..I'll be ok with it, but just want a break for like a week! Ha

Apart from my rant, my internship is going good. I wish I could work more, but senior year is kicking my butt! I have set aside at least one day a week where I can go in for a few hours and help out. I have done research and such for a new event that will be available to the publics knowledge soon. It is awesome having an inside depth into something that isn't known publicly yet, and especially being able to be trusted with the information. Thankfully they are understanding, and they know school comes first.

Apart from the work I have put in, I get to take some time off to go on another interview. I am anxious to see what it will be like, and cant wait to get to know the company more. Down side..I am only applying to Chicago, so the constant drives there are dampering on my bank account. O well..will be worth it!

Blah...

This last week was a breeze week..and definitely was not preparance or this next week. One test, 2 papers, project, and senior client dinner is just a start to the list. I have not felt his boggled down fo such a long time...and I'm NOT looking forward to it. Plus side..back to my internship!  Haven't decided if that's good or not yet, so we shall see. I o know that I will be working on a whole new event which is exciting, so can't wait to be able to see how that pans out once I leave. Best day of whole week...completing a project before my teacher. Owned!!!

Besides that, just waiting for this crazy week. Wish me luck!!

Back to work..

O spring break..you got me good again! Although I was not able to travel to a beach or southern city, I was able to spend a few days in Chicago. For job interviews at that! The time is coming when we are applying and trying to obtain a job, but I did not think of how expensive it would be! Not only the trip there, the stay there, the travel expenses in the city, food, etc.,  seems to add up rather quickly!  But all in all, interviews went great, and I am anxiously waiting for an offer(s)!

Besides Chicago, this past week was uneventful. My internship was put on the back burner with midterms and such, and besides doing research for a future event, I did absolutely nothing. However, next week will be better, and I cant wait to get back to work.

Time to change this up..

A blog about an internship, is quite possible the worst idea of a blog ever. I mean, as a student, your hours are always iffy, and you never know what to expect at school. Translation= not going to internship. Although I was offered a continuation, this last week has been brutal with school. My director is cool in regards to me not being able to be there, and has no problem, but I feel like I am letting her down. BUT, school is more important. Thank goodness break is coming up, and since I am not going anywhere, I will be able to work most of the week to make up for it. Since I am no longer planning my event, I have no idea what I will be doing. I am glad that I am going to be going in with a fresh new project, and cant wait to see what it is!
